Before exporting your JATS XML file, make sure you have selected the correct export option that matches your needs.
Export JATS XML for PubMed and EBSCO #
1. Click export
Then, don’t forget to check these two validators before exporting because PubMed is very strict with JATS XML.


2. In addition to checking both validators, make sure you select the appropriate Reference Style for your article.
Enable the PMC Naming option so your ZIP and XML files are automatically named according to PMC standards.


3. Once you have finished checking, click export and select PMC standard if you submit to PMC
Select EBSCO standard if you submit to EBSCO, and select Web Publishing if you want to upload in your galley in your OJS.



Note:
– If you’re an OJS user, choose Web Publishing for uploading to your galley.
– If you’re submitting your JATS file to PubMed, select PMC Standard. This will automatically convert your figures to TIFF format, since PubMed requires that.
– If you’re indexing with EBSCO, choose EBSCO Standard. Your math equations will be converted to images because EBSCO doesn’t support LaTeX yet.
– If you don’t have a PDF of your article, you can choose the PDF Format option. This is will convert your XML to PDF format for your Article.
